BloodBowl League - Orcs 1 - 1 Norse

The Orcland Raiders took on their Norse opponents in their opening fixture of the current mini-tournament.

The match was a bloody affair with the Norse scoring an early knockout but some bad luck allowed the Orcs to get back in control. By the end of the first half the Norse casualties were high but the plucky humans had managed to keep the ball far enough away from any Orc player caperble of making it to the endzone. 0-0 at the half.

A rampage continued into the second half with a now full strength Orc side continuing the demolition with an agreesive running play that saw them go 1 up early in the half. However the valiant efforts of the Norse apothecary saw a near full strength Norse side retake the field with just enough time to try for a equalising score.

The subsequent quater was a real back and forth with the Norse digging deep into reserves of both tactics and luck. A lapse in the Orcs defence opened up a chink and the Norse exploited it with hunger. Fate further punished the greenskins by cursing their final man as he attempted (unsuccessfully) to halt the run in the dieing seconds.

At the end it was 1-1 with no long term injuries. The Norse delighted to recover given their early misfortunes, whilst the Orcs were left bewildered as to how such a strong position had been lost.
